It did what it sed on the tin.
I can recall in the old venue, dommes pissing all over guys on the floor, and the same mop, bucket and the same dirty water being used to clear up time after time. It was proper old "sticky carpet wear your wellies". I have seen some of the most depraved shit ever in that club. And I mean EVER. Viledirtynasty! FABULOUS!!
I know many of us hoped and hoped that Steve would get better and rise again. But it didn't happen, and we lost him last night. Old skool, a legend. Most people reading this won't know what the fuck I'm talking about. Those that do will be grinning ear to ear.
Had some cracking nights at S&S, none of which I can report

And we won't see their like again. I know that these days much is often made of the cleanliness of a venue, but sometimes I long for the sticky floors, the lack of soap and loo paper (I still *always* take my own loo paper!) of venues long gone. A little grubbiness went a long way to adding to atmosphere. I didn't know the man himself, but ... RIP Steve "Style is the sum of all your defects." - Alan Bennett |

I remember Steve from his days at Club Lick. A showman if ever there was one, and an excellent taste in music. |

Thanks for posting this. Both Steve and Medusa taught me a lot. I had many a fun times there. I thought he had got over the worst of it all..alas he hadn't. He certainly made his mark within the scene. Again Thanks MissP...and yes there are many who will have no idea what this is about.
