PRL Code of Conduct
While many of these rules are common sense, it is useful if attendees to PRL could familiarise themselves with them. While the PRL crew know that honest mistakes happen, we still reserve the right to ask people to leave if rules are repeatedly broken.
PEER: This event is for peer to peer learning.
- Do not work in isolation, come to learn or to share your knowledge. Better still: both!
- There are likely to be friendly suggestions on improvements from others, please treat them with respect.
- No means no. This is a peer learning event. Not a pick up joint.
- Leave your ego at the door. Arrogance is the cause of many mistakes and isn't welcome at this event. Be nice. Politeness costs nothing.
ROPE: This event is about rope.
- We are not dungeon monitors! Please do not engage in non-rope play. Priority in the space will be given to people learning rope.
- If you borrow rope off of anyone, ensure you give it back to them personally.
SAFETY: This event prioritises safety.
- Don't rig your own suspension points or use furniture for support for your rope without the express permission of the crew
- Watch your alcohol intake - if you are or appear to be drunk you will not be served at the bar and may be asked to leave.
- There will be a path marked on the floor from the front door through the venue. Please do not play in or block this pathway; you will be asked to move.
- If you have any concerns, please speak to a PRL crew member. We are less able to fix things once they have gone wrong!
PHOTOGRAPHY
- Photography is permitted at PRL provided that consent has been obtained from everyone in the image, even people in the background.
