I am sorry to announce the rope workshop arranged for March 27th has been cancelled, due to circumstances outwith our control. This is due to the venue cancelling on us with no apparant reason (we have asked and have been given no response). Swoon and I have been actively looking for an alternative venue, but so far have had no joy. We will continue to look and hopefully will run a workshop in April, details of which will be posted here nearer the time. Well after posting this I have received a few messages about details of the rope workshop appearing on a swinger's website. I have no issues with swingers but through the grapevine I have been informed that the Solid has had issues with events organised through this particular swinger's website. Several people have contacted me about advertising the workshop and writing reviews of it etc some of which I declined as they were out with the BDSM community (In order to maintain privacy). I am aware I can't control all exposure of the event but due to posts on another website, it is very possible the venue as decided it is in their best interest to stop the event all together. This has not deterred me from running events in the future and we will continue to hunt for a venue but please if you wish to advertise the event other than on Fetlife or IC please let me know first. | |

Nor do I have issues with swingers. When events such as Glasgow Bound so popular and useful takes place in a public venue which welcomes rope bondage events. We must remember we cannot afford exposure of this event outwith IC and Fetlife which the venue owners do not feel comfortable with. Searching through the internet. There may be a small number of Central Glasgow venues available to hire for free. I wish at least one of them or more would be suitable and welcome a rope bondage workshop. If more of us could help the organiser to find a venue for Glasgow Bound. Hopefully we can find better venues. bootssub
