All week I have had 7 nation army stuck in my head and have been meaning to get the Elephant Album out to listen to, and the first time this week that I actually google it I get this news, now I am totally devastated!

So RIP White Stripes!

The White Stripes - 'Seven Nation Army'.

RIP 1997 - 2011.

It hardly merits an RIP does it? It's not as if Jack White or Meg are going to stop making music. Not actually dead, just different.

Adama: What do you hear, Starbuck?
Starbuck: Nothing but the rain, sir.
Adama: Then get your gun, and bring the cat in.
Starbuck: Aye-aye, sir.

I have to agree with Clare. Your blog is either tongue in cheek or an over the top reaction. There are people on here who are experiencing real grief. If its tongue in cheek its quite witty otherwise it's insensitive to those who have something to be devastated about.

I guess neither of you are White Stripes fans then?

Not particularly but if I was I don't think I would be devastated that they split.
