I haven't seen a lot about this topic on IC (apologies if it's been done to death already). Because of that I'm not sure how it works. Here are some of the things I wonder about ; 1. Are Exhibitionism and/or Voyeurism accepted as OK kinks in the BDSM world? 2. Is public play regarded as Exhibitionism? Or do some or all Exhibitionists require a Voyeur (as a Sadist requires a Masochist) - what I mean is do some or all Exhibitionists only get gratification from his/her Exhibitionism if he/she knows that there is a Voyeur who is getting gratification from watching them. 3. Is watching public play regarded as Voyeurism? Or do some or all Voyeurs only get gratification from watching someone perform if he/she is aware that the person being watched knows they are being watched and is getting gratification from it. 4. Assuming there are Exhibitionists and Voyeurs of the types described above, do they seek each other out and form E/V relationships (or dependencies) ? If you regard yourself as either an Exhibitionist or a Voyeur, I would love to hear your views.

I am a self confessed voyeur ... hence why I miss not being able to go to events. I do, of course, enjoy the social side but love to watch others playing. haven't met many voyeurs, especially female. don't know why it seems it's not something most women are into. (hope am wrong!) | |

I'm such an exhibitionist I sometimes tire myself out! A friend once called me a gregarious whore and I think that's got it about right.
I adore going out, being seen, made a fuss of...there is no such thing as OTT in my world, unless it involves ironing! On my terms I'll show and tell anything and everything. However the complete antithesis is present when it comes to my Ds relationship...I won't 'play' in public...my will submitting to him is no one's business to watch, but I'll allude to it or blatantly blog about it I'm discrete when I need to be...and that's not often. For me there is nothing quite like the buzz of being watched (or even the possibility of it) whilst playing. I prefer to play with another exhibitionist in public as I am not overly fond of masturbating in front of an audience - I am quite shy really (honest!). Of course it is nice to think that the onlookers are getting pleasure out of watching us play but its not essental.

We find at our parties that there are clearly people ( not only guys ) who like to watch what's going on and there are people who enjoy being seen to play - just as others opt to use the more private facilities. Some venues find voyeurism to be something of a problem, but at The Factory, the space is huge and the seating is arranged in such a way that most of the main play room can be clearly seen from a distance. Observers get to see what's going on, without being felt to be intrusive by those playing. It seems to work out well from both points of view. I wouldn't agree that all those playing in public are exhibitionists. Some don't care either way if others watch, others might be happier if nobody else could see, but they like playing on the equipment which happens to be in a public area. Interesting thread. Many profiles seem to include exhibitionism as an interest but few if any mention voyeurism; yet this thread shows an uninhibited enthusiasm for it. All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by. | |

I am a terrible voyeur - I love watching others play, and also to be invoved as a passive watcher, in the sense that often @lordfawcett will play with another girl whilst denying me any attention or play myself - the frustration and humiliation are glorious! I also enjoy being a maid and serving in scenes where I have no direct part. I also (blush) have been known to listen at doors during house parties, but have never been caught! By contrast, I am not an exhibitionist. I hate being the centre of attention and being played with before an audience makes me horribly shy.
