6.Brief Description of Event: An anything goes night set in a working dungeon with very relaxed rules on play and etiquette. Not licenced, people bring their own alcohol, and no dance area. Dungeons and other play rooms only. People are allowed to sleep over until morning.

Club 666 is probably not for the more formal BDSM players on the scene or for couples who want to have a quieter, serious play by themselves in a regulated environment.

A NorthWestern BDSM/Fetish Newsblog/Group, delivering an accurate and comprehensive rundown of events across the area. And a friendly & informative forum, that all munches/events/locations, can join, to discuss ideas, initiatives, and compromises, & work towards a stronger sense of community.

These are the seeds of an idea, and i for one would love to see them grow. I am delighted with all the positive comments shown so far, in such a relatively short period of time,... there IS an interest that can be developed .

Geek Boy! You've posted on the introductions thread! I want this thread to be introductions only, keep off it! lol.

Now, Belasarius, it's good to see you're so interested, lol. First of all I haven't yet decided whether to take on this burden or not. I'm still playing with an idea and seeing where it's worth going with it. So I will explain myself for one last time.

The answer to your question is that, in theory, it would be possible to market the North West as a whole on a website that would become THE place to visit for everyone in the region. The North West could then be promoted to the rest of the UK as a potential BDSM hot spot to visit, thus increasing everyones potential market. We could increase the market instead of compete for it. We could try and work around event clashes and see which dates are best for new events. All events would have the best chance to survive and grow and add even more diversity to the North West scene. It would benefit us to see others succeed because their success adds to the North West's success. And that means increased interest in the site and everyone on it. (And if we all got to know each other we could also minimise the damage that troublemakers, idiots and gossip have caused in the past) People would come to the site for all their North West information instead of all of us having to promote our events individually on other sites every month. People could look at the site and arrange a whole weekend of kink if they wanted to, we can let them choose from events on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with munches during the day and kink related shops available to visit in the area. We could add a news blog and a forum to keep the site interesting and upto date so that people would return to browse as well as just look up information. Basically it would provide a brilliant marketing tool that we can all use to promote ourselves to our entire market in one go. Plus, remember, together we could reach out to an even wider potential market. And so we all increase our potential for continuing success and profit. We could keep a group like this running behind the scenes so that we can keep in contact when necessary. It would provide an arena to discuss things like adults and keep all our events running as smoothly as possible. An open line of communication for anyone who wants to use it. For discussing conflicting dates before they cause an argument, for asking advice or for help if needed, to warn others about troublemakers, for just having a laugh on! We keep our discussions on here and keep our site running professionally and smoothly.

That is the ultimate possibility of all this. There are also many far smaller and easier options I'm considering. Obviously I am not doing this out of the goodness of my heart, as always there has to be something in it for me. In this case it would involve my banner across the top of every page promoting the Dungeon to every single visitor it attracts. I get to raise my profile and have invaluable advertising constantly. My business affects no-one else on the site so there's no conflict of interests. Out of all the traffic that this site should attract a small percentage will be potential new clients for the Dungeon. So hence it is potentially worth it to me putting in the time and work to make it happen. And make it as good as it can possibly be to attract and keep traffic. Everybody wins, you see? I also happen to love the challenge of things like this, I enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble, lol. However it has been far more difficult to get people even vaguely interested so far than I'd anticipated. It will take a hell of a lot of work and a lot of my time to make the site I wanted to happen. And I'll be honest with you, at some point it becomes not worth it to me. I'll just do something small and simple instead. I'll finish doing my varied market research behind the scenes and make a decision then.

OK, I've laid all my cards on the table, if people are still looking for some imaginary catch then that's up to them. I'm not trying to pull a fast one on the entire North West BDSM scene, neither am I running for a sainthood. I am playing around with a business idea to see if it has legs.

Now, unless you are an event KEEP OFF THIS THREAD!! Hopefully I may be needing it in the future.
