This is just a quick note to say thank you to all who have sent messages of sympathy after my last post. They have been most welcome. I am not overly sad, though, simply because I could see that the poor dog was on his way out anyway, and he has had a very good life really. He came from a rescue home, and was the one nobody else had wanted...(cue big "Aaaawww!") He has had many wonderful years, and been a good companion but it was clearly his time.
So, thank you again for the nice messages. I am lifted by them, and I do not feel downhearted. I will certainly miss the soft hound, but life will go on, as it has done for ages past and will do for ages yet to come.
