This afternoon, I went out to buy a pair of new leather gloves. They had to be black, or least mainly black, to go with my shoes.
However, I knew that I didn't want plain black ones, regardless of how high the quality of the leather may be, because they are worn so commonly. It was my intention to buy something not only to warm my hands and shield them from the elements, but to beautify them with something featuring detail.
Initially, I was going to go for a pair in black leather, but stitched in purple thread. But I changed my mind after seeing the gloves that I chose.
The are leather, but two-tone. The fingers and knuckle areas are black, with a brogue wingtip. But the rest of the back of the hand up to the wrist is in white leather, so they look like a glove version of spiv shoes.

Gosh, I'm trying to picture them but I'm not sure. Please can we see? I know you don't seem to load pictures of your clothes but I am interested in whether I'd think these stunningly cool or maybe v slightly excessive and too "look at me". It's a fine line. On balance, having read your previous stuff, I'm trusting you not to have crossed it. Cool it is.
