Does anyone have any tattooists they can recommend in the Midlands?
At the same time, is there anything I should know before getting a first tattoo?

Thanks Ah but I'm a complete wimp with pain, it'd probably hurt me a lot. I hope not though! "What in the name of sanity have you got on your head?" "It's a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezzes are cool."

Try Mandie Barber at True Love tattoos in Kidderminster.....worth travelling to! I live near Tamworth so travel there! She has done all my back - from the first one! Mandie is lovely...gets booked up very quickly and you might have to wait....but wait! 01562 862222 I design my own tattoos but Mandie will work with you to get what you want. Good luck and post your tattoos on IC if/when you have had them done. BB

I would stay well away from Modern Body Art. The artists don't talk to the customers about their work, it all goes through the receptionists which smacks of tattooists acting like rock stars. Things to remember for your first tattoo: - Eat something sugary before you go. A can of drink or a chocolate bar, something like that. A tattoo causes your blood sugar levels to stop and you don't want to get ight headed, or even faint. Make sure it's not the only thing you eat, also. Do not go on an empty stomach. - Don't drink alcohol the day before or on the day. It thins the blood and will make you bleed more. - Ask as many questions as you like and don't get anything on your skin until you are 100% happy with the design. - Yes it hurts.
