Well, I always thought it was down to clumsiness and lack of application, but now the Beeb's "How musical are you?" quiz tells me that, despite having spent two years of evenings and weekends building a harpsichord, 8000 hours over ten years learning to play it, and four years researching and developing a new design of sunthesiser, I have "low enthusiasm for and curiosity about" music!
All is now explained ![]()
I think it's because I have a high disposable income (so spend proportionally less on music), and when I listen to music, I sit down and listen rather than relegating it to the background.... Stuff like that.
But what really hurts is the knowledge that my neighbour, who day and night makes everyone listen to Elvis records that apparently don't even register on her consciousness, would probably score higher than me

I got 99% musical perception, 96% musical curiosity, 100% musical connection and 86% social creativity. Not sure how they work out I've only got 49% musical enthusiasm after the other lot though. PS I think you could up your score by humming along to Elvis more often.
