...is writing a profile so difficult?
I had a lovely one (or at least a perfectly acceptable one) and then I went and had a mini crisis and now it's gone. And I can't somehow find the words to describe myself again.
*grumble* I know me, I could write and write and write and never run out of words. Yet somehow this is impossible!

It's possibly difficult in your mind only. other people will be far less critical than you may think-we have all written 'less than perfect' profiles-some of us live with it, I guess others constantly change theirs. My advice would be to write down what you feel immediately onto paper without editing or too much thought and then review it a day later. If it needs tweaking, well do that then. If not, it's probably right for you. Ya can always go into it tomorrow or the next day... Might review mine now!!!

I have this all the time! A fit of...well, anything, boredom, pique, inspiration blah blah the profile goes and then that horrible box stares at you as if waiting for you to make mistakes and just leave it blank!

Don't force it, just let it flow naturally or wait until inspiration hits you. I find that the best time to find the words is as you are laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep, your mind relaxes and things flow much better, although yer not in the position to then write the words down. True and genuine are only concepts and as such are meaningless. Try thinking in terms of compatibility instead.

I just don't have anything to say. I'm not looking for playpartners or lovers or anything more. I'm not of the opinion that my profile needs to be an A-Z of fetishes or things I'm into. I kind of am just another little girl-thing. Maybe I'll try writing again tomorrow. And @MisterBear you're right, but as you say: not in a position to write it down, then! I am more than anyone thinks I can be.

Hi, maybe because looking at one self in a mirror & seeing a true picture is incredibly difficult... Peace I'm only a filthy philanderer...

Hey, I couldn't think of anything and so went with the first reasonable thing I could think of which was my recipe for Bear Salad. Then it grew from that. Just find something that you are interested in and write about it, even if it's not profile material, it still has meaning to you and gives others something to grab hold of. True and genuine are only concepts and as such are meaningless. Try thinking in terms of compatibility instead. |
