Sad to hear such bad news again. I chatted on IRC to them and they've been lovely people. My sympathies to lm and their close friends. Regards Cag |

I heard this last night, and am incredibly saddened. I remember them both from my first time round, though socialising wasn't exactly my forte at that time. Lovely man, many fond memories will remain with me! My hugest condolences to leathermini, his family and friends! Two roads diverged in a wood and I, I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. (R. Frost) |

We were deeply saddened and shocked to hear the sad news. We've been out of touch for far too long but we have so many fabulous memories of fun and laughter with Russ and lm - parties at the retro bar, dinners at home, nights at nemesis and dancing at our wedding to name a few. Russ was a very special guy and our hearts go out to lm and her family at this time. Sending lots of love Evilgit and lori. xx. |

V and I were also shocked and saddened at the loss of Russ at such a young age. I first met Russ (and LM of course) back in the distant days of the old Nemesis. I think those parties were still being arranged by way of folded-up pieces of paper with pictures of The Queen stuck to them. Seems terribly quaint now, but really not all that long ago. Russ was a gentleman in all the best senses of the word, with a sharp, dry wit. He was a great guy to have at parties and equally valuable as part of the team running the parties - fun and helpful when things went right, and a safe pair of hands when life chucked a curve-ball into planet Nem. I never really knew him out in "real life", we lived a fair way apart, but there are people who you just know are still good company after they have hung their leathers up. Russ was one of them. There's plenty of bastards in the world, why can't fate take a few of them and leave us the Russes? Iain |

Such a true gent and friend. Russ, I'll miss your corny jokes and texts, your kindness and your caring. You were, and always will be in my book, one in a million. lm, I wish there was something I could say to take the pain away and help... just hugs sweetheart.. x x x x I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. |

I rarely come here now, but had heard about Russ passing away. Russ & lm were the first people I ever met on the scene, and as a young single woman they looked after me so much. Lm, I am so so sorry for your loss, Russ was a fantastic bloke xxx Warning! Dangerous Curves Ahead Edited 20 Jan 11, 11:33 AM by WyldKat |
