Sat up today and actually online... laptop on lap. I'm so bored of sleeping. I need to elevate my arms as much as possible whilst lying down and elevated means above heart level. UGH! I am sleeping on the sofa and I've managed to sleep badly and my neck, shoulders, arms and hands have been hurting all day! I don't cry much over pain but these last three operations have, at some point or other had me in tears.

Who needs bondage, just have your arms cut from armpit to elbow! I couldn't even take my coat off when I got home from the hospital without bursting into tears.

I'm so bored of needing to lie down! I'm dozing off to sleep so often. As for that first night home from hospital, I fell asleep halfway through replying to a text then woke back up again. General anaesthetic really fucks my body up big time!

I never ever want to see another surgeon ever again!

Hopefully I won't have to, except for check ups on my progress after these!

It's good to hear that you're progressing, at least. Hopefully the progress will be steady (if you listen to the advice of the doctors, of course!).

I'm just so incredibly restless! I have no patience for resting and recovery!

I'm a woman! We don't say what we WANT! But we reserve the right to get pissed off if we don't get it. That's what makes us so fascinating! And not a little bit scary.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just do it: you know it makes sense

And yes, anaesthetic really does trash the body. Feel better soon.

Well girl ... this is the enforced rest that you need ... before you storm back into life ... so enjoy it whilst you can
