I completely agree (particularly with the OP's reply to the suggestion that links intended to shock should not mention that).

I opened a link on here a while back and the footage kept me awake for 3 nights! Many people complained about it and the blogger apologised and put a warnign on it.

I'm much less inclined to follow a link without any indication of what might be in it for 3 reasons ....

I don't have time to follow anonymous (possibly uninteresting to me) links willy nilly all over the place.

The possibility that I'd see something that really would shock/repulse me

The possibility that the content would be considered illegal should Big Brother get his grubby paws on my PC.
