I figured it would be beneficial. I usually hate New Years Resolutions. I find they don't work for me, but in this case I don't think of it exactly as a resolution. Just another thing that needs doing in that long list of things to do.
I will try and be more accepting of compliments. I won't dismiss them immediately, even if I don't believe or agree with them. I'll try not to tell the person they have shit in their eyes. I will say thank you and if I'm feeling really uncomfortable I'll try and change the subject. Otherwise I'll just smile and try to see what they say as truth.
That's my only real resolution for 2011. The rest are things I actually plan on doing but aren't resolutions. I wrote a blog about it a couple of weeks ago if I recall.

I think this is a brilliant resolution. Personally if I may say so with all due humility, I think the key to transformation here is... to 'do' nothing. But to 'hear' and 'be'. Being possibly comes easier when we stop doing. So dare to just 'take it in' when someone says something nice. Snowy. PS I am going to pinch your resolution because I think it is such a good one and I am going to try too. Will let you know how I get on. PPS Can't wait for midnight, will start now.
