I have to live in that harsh reality as well. To put it succinctly: I have no problem with the subgroups of the transgender umbrella joining forces when it is in their interest to do so. However, I take umbrage when my subgroup's (and therefore my) name is co-opted to represent something that is against our interests by invoking the authority of the transgender umbrella. |

Fully in agreement with you on this one. Umbrella stuff only works when people from different areas of the umbrella are in agreement it's in their shared interests, and often people act like fools and hijack it as part of a meaningless "inclusivity" agenda that doean't actually have anything to do with everyone having a joint stake in things (*cough*lgbTokenism movement*/cough*). moo
