This once hugely popular fetish is seemingly a little less 'trendy' these days. It certainly seems quite rare to see it practised in clubs, perhaps because of fire safety & smoking laws?
So who enjoys a gentle little drip making someone writhe in agony? What are your favourite techniques and tricks for wax play?

I can't wait to hear people's experiences. I love wax play - but am relatively new to it. So far it's mainly be using 'nightlights' (fairly low melting temperature) being dripped on my body while blindfolded (or in my sensory deprivation hood). Chest/nipples; back/buttocks - and more recently balls - have been the target area! I'd love to find some candles that are wide enough to rest safely on my chest at enough of an angle so that as they melt a river of wax runs across my body. | |

I haven't played with wax for almost two years, but it is something I really love and truly miss. One of my earliest sessions involved being trussed up, blindfolded, and having three people spilling molten wax - at some points practically pouring it onto me across my back and legs. They used a combination of coloured waxes on me - red, black and white IIRC - and it was remarked afterwards like it looked like ritualistic slaughter given the way the wax melted and pooled around me looking like blood. The prickly hot sensation when spots of it dribble onto skin is incredible. Then there is the sensation of the wax hardening on your skin as it cools. Having layer upon layer built up feels nice too. Combining the sensation of heat from the wax with ice is also amazing.

If your in a playful, artistic mood, you can always melt down some crayola crayons, oil up your sub and drip the wax to make mould of whatever you want to  ... the wax slides off making a perfect shape ... awesome on tits.Elvenkind xxx a 4 foot, 11 and 3/4 inch elf. | |

Wax is an odd one for me. I've had a low heat candle dripped on my back and not been able to take it, but I've also had a normal household candle used to drip wax directly on my bits and came screaming like a banshee. Maybe it's mood, or room temperature, still, odd. Either way, it's a good thing in my book. I really want to try heating up a bowl full (use a double boiler folks) instead of relying on a slowly dripping candle. Clean up is such a faff though. Rose | |

I love hot wax, mostly combined with other activities. There're loads of ways to use it, warm and sensual or hotter and more scary - particularly if it's being dripped over an engorged, tightly bound penis. I also like wafting a naked flame round that area however the last time I did that, the penis owner was terrified which amused me greatly. He said afterwards he was scared the lighter was going to explode and blow the family jewels off. | |

i bought a fondue set from ikea a few years ago for just this purpose.. it holds about a pint of wax... you can adjust the burner for optimal temperature and the hole in the top of the pot takes a three inch paint brush with ease... or a small ladle... you also get half a dozen little double ended pointed things to poke the subject with every now and then... as for the clean up... big sharp knife works for me... that and a few slaps...
