Thanks to the organisers(s)for last night! Merry festivite season to you. Much yuletide-logness. We seemed to fit better theme wise in the new pub, though there were some randoms that had very bemused faces! However I can't see Twister being workable in the London Stone so for that reason, 'I'm out'. I mean, I vote for the Golden Shower. I mean Golden Fleece. Got there in the end! Officially known as the Slackline guy.

The stone has cheaper drinks and more appropriate decor, but fleece has mobile reception, and space for twister. It felt a little disjointed with all the separate areas last night, but we're less likely to scare any of the 'nillas at the stone. At the end of the day it's the fabulous geeky company that I enjoy, so I shall be there whichever people choose.
Wishing you all a kinky kissmass

I should be able to book the whole pub for next time, if necessary, so we shouldn't have to worry about 'nilla intrusion. And I think the low table by the bar can be moved for Twister (since that's the area they use as a dance floor when they hold clubs there). But the Fleece does have a much wider menu, and it's easier to guarantee the lower level to ourselves. I'll see what everyone prefers, then make the booking at the end of the month.

I do like the eerie pub company, but of them all, (even those now gone but not forgotton), the 'Stone was always my least favourite. I think considering the Hind was forsaken for exactly the crime that the Stone pulled on our first outing there (Forgetting we were coming), I'd suggest returning, to see if they'd learned their lesson, or possibly looking for a 3rd, as yet unexplored venue.

Maybe now they know there's a lot of us, they'll pay a wee bit more attention next time. Who knows? Expensive though it was, I rather liked the Stone. You could move about without having to push through a crowd for the most part. Basically as I am seeink it, Ray, the problem is that you are not callink your girlfriend for five months. You see, the hot babies like to feel wanted. If you are not callink them on the phone for a while, it is like a way of saying "you are worst song, played on ugliest guitar" Edited 17 Dec 10, 12:55 AM by Grasshopper

The Stone is a good venue and considering is decor and beautiful layout,I felt at home but only one problem, no mobile signal so no way of using 3g internet but strangely a kimble was working. The other problem was the nilla's creeping in,some of them dressing like us! Next time these points need to be kept in mind. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ Vampire pro/lifestyle ts dom and switch. Age play mummy/aunty/AB ,medical play, domestic, energy and outdoor specialist. What, that vanilla people will dress in a vanilla style? Yes. Surprising indeed. Basically as I am seeink it, Ray, the problem is that you are not callink your girlfriend for five months. No dressing in similar apperance to us.There was one "nilla" girl who could have passed as one of us and she nearly fooled me until she told me that she was not part of our group! Next time I hope this does not happen and the "nilla's" can be kept at bay. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ Vampire pro/lifestyle ts dom and switch. (My bold) You say these things like you think that we're some exclusive little club, and you'd like to be all precious about preserving the clique? To me the purpose of having a separate area for a munch is that we can talk freely, and introduce ourselves to people with (reasonable) certainty that they're kinky or at lease curious too. It's not about keeping people out, just not offending anyone who didn't mean to be there, and respecting the majority of society's distaste for BDSM by not thrusting it in the faces of 'nilla pub goers. Frankly if someone is there for a 'nilla night out and curious about something they'd overheard, I see no reason why we shouldn't talk to them. People find out about the scene in all sorts of ways.

Ah. I *do* still have a workable IC profile! I'm the guy who was in the velvet smoking jacket. I thought the venue was pretty good, FWIW, and everyone was very friendly. Would love to keep in touch, particularly the lady from Doncaster and her boyfriend. Hi to Annabel, Martine and others. I'm mainly on FetLife but I might spend more time here now. |
