I wear a thin silver chain 24/7. It isn't very traditionally bdsm, but my Boss put it on me as my collar, so it works for us. I can wear it through airport security, in showers, swimming pools, at work, at play, in bed, everywhere. I wear other neck jewellery that I change but this thin chain stays on all the time which is what matters most to us. On the security side, if anyone were to try and grab me by it, it would break and I would have the chance to get away, nor could I get caught by it in an accident. I'd hate it to be broken off me but the alternative might be worse. | |

I tend to just use a small padlock on a chain which is long enough to hide under a shirt. But short enough not to slip off over the head of course.
Simple and inexpensive In some jobs (any that involve machinery it could become caught in for example) it wouldn't be safe, but I think that for most jobs and everyday activities an accident that results in strangulation is pretty unlikely. Especially when it's safely tucked away under clothes. | |

I got my pony's collar from wyred slave, it has a tag with a pony on the front  He once tried to get it off over his head - naughty pony - but it is removal free! Or will be, once I solder the lock up. | |

I like that idea. Collars have always seemed a bit grim to me. Specially the barcode. Has anyone tried scanning themselves? Does it act as a 'if found, please return to' type-thing?? | |

My slut wears a collar from Titanium Kay (www.titaniumkay.com). It is actually two men's bracelets (stainless steel) one measured to fit around his ankle, the other around his wrist. When clipped together (they have identical clasps) they fit exactly around his neck. In vanilla situations he can wear the ankle bracelet under his sock but is reminded of his service to me with every step. At home or at non-vanilla outings he can wear it as a full collar on his neck.
