I have to admit I had to look it up. Have read the word before, but never really had cause to understand what it really means.
| 1. Working or spreading harmfully in a subtle or stealthy manner: insidious rumors; an insidious disease. 2. Intended to entrap; treacherous: insidious misinformation. 3. Beguiling but harmful; alluring: insidious pleasures. |
I had no idea that a short memo of well-wishes could be interpreted and received in that way.
Or that my blogs were all insidious and veiled with sly digs intended to inflame as I sit back and revel in the attention.
Am I attention seeking? It has been said about me by others. Does that make it true? I'm not sure. I always thought that attention seekers were people with a deep-seated need, an emptiness that must be filled with a response, good or bad, from any random stranger.
I am incredibly fortunate, that mortal emptiness has been filled by people that I love very, very much and who love me back...I am bathed in their warmth and their care and I want for nothing. And I know how lucky I am to have that, I express my gratefulness every day in whatever way I can.
Do I deliberately inflame? Ugh, I hope not. There have been times when I have been hurt and upset and confused; and have said things I regret. But I am fairly certain that that only describes about 5% of my blogs. And yeah, I've written a loooot of blogs, I know! I do think that we all have the freedom of choice to read or not to read though, and as I may have mentioned, I don't really mind if anyone in cyberland pays attention to me or not.
What can I say? If I have slyly dug at any of you, great IC, your relatives, your pets, or the slugs in your window boxes; and have in any way, shape or form caused you discomfort or unhappiness...I am sorry.
I think I am fairly transparent in my writing, these blogs are my life diary, they give me pleasure...that is why I write them.
If they offend anybody...please vote with your mouse click...don't read 'em. Please.
If however you find them "Beguiling but harmful; alluring", read on, there must be an antidote for the harmful element somewhere out there.
Take care all...hamba kahle.

*Confused* The memo's I've had from you have been brief but nice. I might write one to you now to prompt another one. It will be nice to have some pleasantries passed around. That third description doesn't sound that bad though, if the harm is the right kind. IC's Trans Related Group | ||
