Yes, I like your paintings. My mother's side of the family all used to draw and paint. I used to draw as a teenager and my brother was good at technical drawing. I never painted much because I have a slight colour deficiency so eventually I turned to photography. I never printed colour in the old days only black and white but with computers I find I can handle colour without too many mistakes.

Definitely I paint/draw. But never found a way to commercialize. There is an Erotic art society that has exhibitions but I've never contacted them. The big Fetish fair at the Barbican - was it Skin Two? - that took place on the Rubber Ball weekend used to be desperate for artists to attend - it adds a bit of "class". On another point, there used to be a guy in London who hosted sex/fetish life classes which were amazing, do they still happen I wonder?

There is ofcourse Allen Jones http://www.vvork.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/... He of the female furniture fame, that I love. Would it be that difficult to presuade some Hoxton gallery to put on an S&M Show? Sex dose sell after all. "Yeah I like Kinky stuff, dirty dark pervy stuff, weird sex....

All my family are artists except me. I have the eye for it, the urge for it and the hand-eye coordination of a threshing machine on laxatives... I'd love to say "me too" but no Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Big soft spot for Allen Jones - gave me the first clue that there may be others like me! And as controvesial now as he was in 1970 (Emin and Hirst eat your heart out!)...

I love to paint and sculpt, but my subjects are all vanilla. However, I had a friend, an American sub called amber, who did some amazing watercolours drawing inspiration from our discussions and stories I have written. When he visited me years ago, he gave me an A4 portfolio full of original work that made me feel very special. As I cannot display his work, it sits in a safe place, but I bring it out when I have amenable guests and enjoy them afresh. If you feel inspired by any of my stories, feel free to send me the outcome and I might place it on my blog. The same goes for any other artist - even photographers. Maybe you can get with your sub and recreate a scene. Just think of the fun you'd have! |
