I've had a Creative Zen 30gb for 5 years and been happy with it but I fear it's on its last legs and I'm going to have to replace it. Is it worth getting an Ipod, or better to stick with the Zen?
Any advice/recommendations/links would be much appreciated.
Thank you

I've had three generations of zen over the years, each time choosing them over the competition because they gave better sound quality. I am not convinced the touch screen on the latest ones is worth the size it adds to the device though, my previous button operated one was significantly smaller and easier to control one-handed when doing things. I've been an apple user since god knows when, and started using ipods since they gave them away with student mac purchases (usually between late july and september every year).
If you use itunes as your main media player, then an ipod's not a bad choice. You can buy a 30 gig ipod off of ebay for about £30-60, though you never know how long the hard drive will hold out, or what state the battery is in. If you want to grab a brand new ipod, I would recommend waiting til November 26th, when they do their one day sale online, and you can usually save a good 20-50% off of ipods (depending on what they push this year). The touch is a good little machine, good sound, and all the additional functions of the world of apps, though a new 32gig machine will cost you about £250 (before sale discount) Now, if you just want to give yourself a new music player, and you don't care about fart apps, angry birds or doodle zombies, the classic ipod now sells new for about £200, and comes with a whopping 160 gb storage, as standard.

Have a look at the Sansa range of mp3 players. I hear nothing but good things about them. |

I use my Sony ericsson with a 16GB memory card,as i like to have everything all in one place.
Matched with Sony MDR-V150 Headphones, rather dynamic sound. Always toyed with the option of getting a stand alone music player though but what im using now is all i need. If i did i reckon id go for a Zen.

I would stick with the Zen as the similar apple model has less memory to commit music tracks to. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ Vampire pro/lifestyle ts dom and switch. Age play mummy/aunty/AB ,medical play, domestic, energy and outdoor specialist. "Beyond the government, above the police ." |

I've had a 20Gb Zen Touch for 6 years. It's had a bit of a problem with the pause button where it sometimes acts as the random button. But apart from that it's still going strong and still has a long battery life. ------------------- - Gag me, shag me - ------------------- |
