Evening all, I wonder if anyone can help? I am trying to find companies who sell fetish clothing (pvc/latex etc) and footwear (boots etc) but who are happy to deliver items to a local post office rather than to my home or office addresses? I am trying to avoid raising eyebrows for those close to me who don't know of my kinks and fetishes. Obtaining items is really hard work. Royal Mail do a service http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?catId=7... but companies have to be part of the scheme. Does anyone know a way around the situation? I've email a number of well known sites, however either they not replied or they won't delivered the a 3rd party site. Any ideas or recommendations? --------------------------------------------------- -------

How does the company doing the delivery know they would be delivering to you? For all they know you have got hold of a credit card and are using it to obtain goods by deception. When that happens the credit card company tends to take the money back from the company delivering the goods. Why don't cash machines have a Gamble button?

When the post strike was on last year I used a company that delivered to a network of shops and the customer collected from say a local news agent, cannot find the detail on it now but it worked ok. I have never had any problem with delivering to a different address, most of the people in this scene are pretty genuine and I have never had anything stolen either at fairs or through the post. Wonder if you can ask the vendors what their packaging is like instead? Personally speaking ours is rip-proof, opaque and with no branding on the outside. Most people seem to give an alternate address so someone can sign for the package and I imagine most people don't bat an eyelid at personal deliveries being sent to work. If you work for a security-concious company that x-rays and opens anything suspicious I guess that's another matter!

speaking not only for myself but also for most of my peers and colleagues, unlike amazon most of us use plain white or brown jiffy bags or boxes to discreetly deliver stuff, we also have non descriptive holding company names for discreet billing, so you should be able to purchase with ease and zero embarassment. on a technical note, if you pay by paypal we have to ship to the confirmed address, otherwise if it goes missing etc we have no recourse, and when paying by card we are obligated by our merchant agreements to deliver to the cardholders address. My packaging is fairly discrete (depending on whose skip I found it in)

Like other postal services Royal Mail has a Poste Restante service for when you are travailing, you can have letters delivered to a post office and then collect them, I don't know if there is a size limit or not. Maybe you can use that? http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?mediaId... I suspect suppliers may be reluctant to use it in case for fraud .

You could try www.useyourlocal.com/ They have what appears to be an official parcel system that might work for you. It will be better than a trip to the Post office. Obviously it need not be your closest pub, or your kink friendly munch pub might participate.

Interesting. I note the wording on that link seems a bit odd....they claim the service was ended December 2010, yet we are only in November 2010 :/

Few scene businesses will have any problem at all, sending Poste Restante, to a friend or work address, the default rate is very low. It will only be the bigger mainstream companies who aren't flexible enough. Hey! Was going to post you a cheeky reply like you could use my company if I could use yours, then ferreting around the P.O. site I discovered its a £250 minimum cost start up for any business applying - that's 250 labels/deliveries too. Are you buying that much stuff?!?!?! Looks like more of an option for businesses rather than persons. Hope this helps, Luv, B.U.T.D.
