Rules for a horror movie remake: Make it shite. Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: Why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: Why not marry safe science if you love it so much.

In the third movie, bring back someone from the first movie that you killed off but all the fans loved and wished was in the second movie. Also, the plot line of the third movie doesn't really have to be connected to the first or second movie, by that point no one will really notice anyway. You say Ouch like it's a bad word.

Unless you're diluting the product:
I was reading Clive Barker's twitter, and the new Hellraiser movie is going to be aimed at teenagers and they're going for a PG-13 rating. Mr Barker is livid. Then again, it happened with the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise: in the first one Freddie was a nasty pedo, in the later ones he became a comedy rapping goul. And we won't go into the Munsters.

Is that because it's a sequel?

It's a sequel. Just having the same plot doesn't change that. The vast majority of horror sequels have the same plot to the original. Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: Why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: Why not marry safe science if you love it so much. |
