Added to that it wasn't very good the time I went. We were totally ignored by the organiser and there were only 8 people there. Rohypnol means never having to say "Would you like another coffee?". | ||

Hi all, The person who posted last time about the no-show was sent a PM with apologies. I didn't want to post anything publicly appending to that post for the simple reason that I didn't want to bump that post back up to the top as the time had gone so it seemed best to let the post die. We were taking a break in the spring, as the venue we had been using for several years was listed as about to be refurbished since February (and had become very grotty) but was still in the same state when a group of us went out to look for a new venue a few months ago. Unfortunately, the complications of the multiple lists on IC (which are still quite confusing) meant that an entry popped up automatically somewhere. In fact, I've only just found this one entirely by accident in a calendar that I haven't seen before but which still has the old details, despite having changed them in at least one publication list. (It's soooo complicated to use this place - most of the people involved have now switched to Fetlife for that reason!) I should also point out that, of all the attendees at meets over the years, the only person who ever seemed to have any problem was Bohnanza and there are regulars who come along quite happily and have a great time. I'm pleased to report that we have found a much nicer venue - the Friar Penketh. Full details will be posted on the forum at www.splosh.co.uk as soon as I get a moment. I hope this helps to dispel some of the incorrect information that has been spread about us and we'll look forward to seeing you all soon. PS: While I remember, you may want to read an account by Bill "Mr Splosh" Shipton (the chap who actually invented the term sploshing) of his visit to our splunch - he came up to us all the way from the South coast! As a regular at these very meets I can confirm that they're very real, very fun and very friendly. Can't wait to see all you others, both 'old' and new. The new venue looks fab! I should be brining along a newbie from over Manchester way... be gentle

Oooh! For those who might want to travel and stay over, I've just found out that Travelodge has it's winter sale on with some rooms from as little as £12. I think the first batch of those has already gone but I gather they let them out in batches so if you happen to get your timing right, you could be quids in! We seem to be picking up various kinksters at the various sploshing and fet sites, which is nice - the more the merrier! Well we're up to about 17 having expressed some interest across the various sites! If everyone remembers to turn up, that should be quite a good event. (There's usually a few who turn up without warning too.)
Sounds like we have much chinwagging to catch up with! I'll try to remember to book the table at the tapas bar for the evening sometime in the week. I'm assuming it'll be about half a dozen again staying on for that. See you all soon. | ||

Well that was good! I thought the new venue was great. Much easier to spread around and food available for grazing all day too. We even indulged in some accidental sploshing when someone managed to knock a glass of white wine flying! Lol. The evening meal at the tapas bar was great again and I'm sure MessyJoJo will soon be posting a pic of her fabulous pudding which will remind you of something, though I'm not sure she's on IC any more so you might have to look at it on one of the other sites.
The long legs on the waitress who was on duty last night, combined with her micro-length skirt, were also a wonderful distraction - an ideal target for splatting a pie up between her legs and massaging it into her tights ... under different circumstances of course ... but we can all dream can't we?! Here's to the next time, on the 3rd Saturday in April (21st). However, most of the people who are attending these days seem to be picking up the meeting from various other sploshing and fetish sites so we may not bother to advertise it on IC in future. |
