Gareth Williams "had links to a bondage and sado-masochism website" and "visited websites on claustrophilia", according to the Sun. That is not mentioned in other media this morning, such as the Mail or Guardian. The Sun's police source carefully did not name the site, though they did say they "have ruled out foul play but are still trying to trace the other person". So, what are the BDSM & claustrophilia candidate sites ?

Jesus, don't you have anything more important to do than gawk at a man's death?

Wouldn't you like to know if someone had form before they zipped you into a body bag? Boil-in-the-bag might make for an lazy dinner but it's not my idea of a fun night. What's wrong with morbid curiousity anyway?

I'm sorry, I still don't buy this story. I'd do some digging of my own through my own contacts but the south of the river / Cheltenham involvement makes it unlikely that I would get an honest answer. ETA: If the police are trying to find another party and he was using this website then I would expect Admin to have been contacted about it. So take your pick, cover up or conspiracy but I don't see "accidental bsdm death" still. No man is good enough to govern another man without that other's consent. Clearly bumped off by the secruity forces, ours or another - just trying to cover it up.

It has already been discussed at length when it happened. I voted for spy stuff since he was a codebreaker and since I think not EVERYTHING is bdsm related. I don't think it is morbid curiosity as much as wanting to know what is going on which could affect our rights. For me, anyway. I don't care for the adverse publicity.
Is this a different case than the guy in the hold-all? Errr...yes, I think I would probably ask a few questions before just slipping into a body bag. LOL "specially if they wanted to put a toe tag on me first. ETA: It is the M16 holdall story. I hadnt realised they had had so many related stories in the newspaper about it, not reading papers much. And, as for links to websites. I do honestly and sincerely want to know if there are single guys who DONT look at porn. (I think there might be married ones who are afraid of getting caught....) I don't believe that they don't. Of course there would be links. doh. Life is not measured by the breaths we take. but by the moments that take our breath. It is an old Tabloid technique when you have nothing to say, make nothing sensational. 'Police find no trace of alien abduction', 'No truth in rumor about postman and sex with vegetables' etc. All true, nobody can sue you and people see the 'dirty bit' and read the story.

I once went to a talk by John Cleese, where he said he didn't mind the out and out tabloids, like the Sun, as they just published lies and everyone ignored them, but the papers like the Mail and the Express (this was a while ago when the Express was more mid-market) tended to put a twist on the truth, to make things sound bad without actually telling any lies. For instance, they might ring him up and say "Do you sleep in a cupboard?", to which he would reply, in a puzzled tone "No." The next day there would be a headline "John Cleese Denies Sleeping in Cupboard!"

Ok. So now we know. Yes there is evidence of an interest in bondage, but possibly not obsessive. Yes there is evidence of an interest in cross-dressing and spending a lot of real money on clothes. He went to the relevant clubs. And now we have two e-fits of people who had his keys but haven't come forward. If it's a spy story, the police are playing an awfully good game of double bluff by publicising it all again.
An expert was brought in who said that the bag was locked from the outside but with keys to the padlock on the inside. Presumably the expert was Jonathon Creek.
