I hope it is as they say and resumes in the New Year. I have heard it is awesome and it's the ONE venue I was dying to go to....I love caves and the way Lima described it sounded breathtaking! Life is not measured by the breaths we take. but by the moments that take our breath.

I have to admit these were my thoughts when I first heard about it and are using people's actions as an excuse? I'd have thought that if the actions were that serious, they would not even be allowing the venue to reopen in January.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in 2011! Artemis x

The Venue is struggling to draw custom in all aspects. That's why The Cave managed to secure the venue in the first place. So turning away business in any aspect wouldn't be in its best interest. All it takes is one person to spoil a night, We need this venue and club night up north as we have few to choose from. Attendees to The Cave should respect club rules and common sense to ensure the venue don't totally shut up shop to the community. It's hard enough to find a venue never mind keep one.

That's not always the way a venue will look at the situation. If they 'get rid of' anything that might cause them embarrassment over a most lucrative time for most pubs and restaurants (ie: Christmas) then they can go back to taking the money of the desperate clubs again when things are an awful lot quieter and slower for the licensed trade in January/February. I've no idea what 'the actions of someone attending the cave' were, nor why they attracted complaints from the public, but the venue might be using that as an excuse to deflect any queries they might be getting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The kids programme I linked to earlier in this thread is called "All Over The Place", the first episode airs on CBBC at 10am. There are 13 episodes in all. Don't know when the episode filmed at the venue will be shown. But, if its having any bearing on the availability of the venue, then that might be a significant date for further news? Likewise hoping this club is back soon. edit - thats 10am, Saturday 5th February. Don't quote me, my opinion can change in the blink of a sphincter. Edited 2 Feb 11, 11:19 AM by stckypg |
