Thinking about how to disorient my current target during the takedown. It will be a moonless night, on a path in woodland. She will not have a torch. I'm going to have to have a head torch anyway, to positively ID her - do not want to take down the wrong woman.
But I know she wants to run, and be caught. Which is fine, except I'm not certain I can run faster. I probably can, I'm pretty fit, but I want to swing the advantage further in my direction.
I have an old but powerful camera flashgun. So, walk towards her as if to pass her on the other side of the path, with the flash in my right hand and attached to a lanyard round my wrist. At about two metres, close my own eyes and fire the flash straight into hers. Drop the flashgun on its lanyard, continue walking forward, right hand across her mouth, turn round behind her and pull her back against my chest.
Comments?
Obviously she may still try to run - but her night sight will be completely shot and she won't have a torch, whereas my night sight should still be reasonably OK and I will.

She'll almost certainly be too scared to run quickly. Women are useless at running whilst scared, plus her breathing will already be hampered because of her nerves. Just my two-penneth...

What would you know about being too scared to run? You're usually too wet to run and would slip over in your own puddle of juice. Just my two-penneth...

You know I was too scared to run. Well, I think I managed about four paces. And my wetness did NOT hamper my running ability actually; the fact that your legs are twice the length of mine put you at a grossly unfair advantage.
I'm going to arrange for a dwarf to abduct me next time
