Yum  So this thread was just a wonderment of what masks you all enjoy wearing or seeing? Why do you think you like them? I have quite a big thing for any sort of thing that covers part of the face. It might just be the anonymity... I like faceless hoods, surgical masks, balaclavas and bandanas. Some halloween masks are excellent too. I remember browsing a halloween cosume section of a store and deeming them to be fit in a scene or not lol The Jasson Vorhees mask is intruiging, as is the hannibal lector mask. i have regularly worn a rubber or leather hood, it is the removal of identity by your owner and becoming a 'piece of meat' rather than a person. As opposed to annonimity which i think is different as that sugests its you that doesnt what people to know who you are. female subs always look very erotic in a mask | ||

I love wearing my Sensory Deprivation Hood. It is an amazing feeling to have your sense of hearing and seeing taken away. I end up having a strange mix of vulnerability and the need to trust. My other senses get really heightened. Next on my 'purchase' list would be a heavy rubber hood - I've seen a great ones at Rubber's Finest and Studio Gum that buckles on the head, with only a small mouth hole. The thought of being strapped into one of those, the feeling of restriction and pressure from the rubber ... yumm! Now all I need to do is find the money! | ||

Yes, I agree with you here. As a woman and Domme, I like to see a female sub in a mask. So often facial expression can be used both to express pain and pleasure and sometimes I want to just concentrate on the bodies physical reaction to something I do. Your description of becoming a 'piece of meat' is very apt. Not that I am saying I am soft or anything and would be swayed by looking at a face! I equally enjoy seeing the fright in someones eyes. So removal of the mask at a certain point in play would round it off nicely for me too. Ruby

We have lots of hoods.
I dont like the latex ones so much( hot and smelly) but i have a made to measure leather one which smells amazing. I find wearing a hood with a gag and a posture collar or head harness very challenging. I enjoy the process of Him putting it on me and getting me ready for what ever is about to happen. In a hood I do rather sink into myself, especially if I cant hear very well in it. It makes you more aware of your breathing, your own mechanics as it were. I feel very contained. Hard to explain but it puts you in a different state because its so removed from normal life, helps me feel submissive and often if its one without eye holes, makes me feel very calm and dependent. | ||
