UPDATE Another very angry phonecall yesterday only to be told it was ordered on the 3rd and should have arrived. It has now been reordered as a priority but that it should have arrived within 5-7 days He has told me he will phone me next wednesday to see if it has arrived.

Oh well will wait and see

Ann and Roly have been plagued with e-mail problems recently.

I moved house six weeks ago and have been trying to get phone/broadband as a matter of urgency. I'll spare you the gory details, but suffice it to say that I've spent ages waiting to talk to multiple call centres for multiple companies, every one of which has been experiencing unusually high demand, whatever time of day I call.

The bottom line is that each company I dealt with promised a service within a few days and every one of them has failed to deliver what they promised. When I tried speaking to OfCom, they assured me that there should be no problem. All I had to do was to quote a few specific words of jargon and the companies would know how to deal with it. The bottom line is that I passed on the jargon and they weren't able to do anything about it.

However, I've now got a Virgin cable connection working with a fast broadband connection and now won't bother with a land line as my mobile works very well here.

Well one of us is sorted then. Still I have spent a very nice weekend with my daughter Donna and her partner Belinda.They have looked after me and fed me. Not keeping anything crossed makes it difficult to function. xxxxxx
