interesting that, i once went there with a friend (who occasionally uses this site) and one of the shop assistants said TO US that "people come to us for the clothes, not the service!" which made me not really want to go there again... Edinburgh Fringe Munch 15/08/10 | ||

Just generally, Dolenta is the most awesome latex person and the service I had there was always above and beyond. The clothes are awesome too and the made to measure stuff is perfection Exx "You'll find the shame is like the pain, you only feel it once." | ||

Oh Dear! Well, I can guarantee that the person in question was a short Spanish female with red hair – Me! And the full comment would have been – “It's a good thing that people come here for good clothes and not for good service!! “ – This is my default comment when joking with my regulars or if I'm rushing around and basic things go wrong – like machine running out of paper, can't find a pen etc... – I also use “this wouldn't happen at Harrods” Is a tongue on chic comment and the irony is that we take customer service very seriously. Obviously the joke got lost in translation and I should remember that not everybody gets my dry sense of humour so I will take your comments on board. I'm very sorry that I put you off coming back... I hope you'll give us another chance and your next experience will be more pleasant. PS. Very pleased to read the positive comments as we are always trying to improve our clients experience when visiting the shop. | ||

ah right interesting... it's quite possible that i misheard you, or just missed part of what you said, and to be honest i think that the customer before me was being a bit rude himself as well, so i think you can be forgiven! i still carried on with my purchase and was pleased with what i bought, and because my friends have always had good experiences there a bit of a mix up every now and then is completely understandable. now i just need to be able to afford the £250 kilt :-S

I was in there today with @the_doc and was so tempted to buy one of those kilts. I settled for something not as fancy from House of Harlot. I can certainly say that the service was very good, despite us not being the best of customers (we were supposed to be shopping for ourselves but much more interested in 'shopping' for the girls). I'm forever indebted to Dolenta for hand-crafting the purple detailing on a latex minidress for me after she realised that she had it premade in every colour other than the one I wanted, and at no extra charge. She's amazing, and so is her shop | ||
