Things are gonna be bad for a long while. There is, however some hope. Just received a leaflet from new political party.

The Pension Plan Party's solution to poverty in old age -

When you're a senior citizen - and the government says there is no pension or nursing home available, what will you do?

The Pension Plan Party gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and some bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 bankers (6 if dynastic), 2 MP's and 2 illegal immigrants.

Plus 2 fatcats, 6 eurocrats (8 if commissioners), 2 spin doctors, 5 pro-war propagandists, 5 'humans cause global warming' fraudsters, 5 GM food promoters, farmers or sellers, 10 fit career benefits claimants, 3 former prime ministers, and as many ex-presidents as you can find.

This will make you a greater national hero than Robin Hood. Or even of course Guy Fawkes. Earn you global celebrity status (think book and film deals) and (as one of the nouveau rich) get you sent to the same cushy prison which houses disgraced politicians.

Where you will always get 3 meals a day, roof over your head, central heating, air conditioning and all the health care you need. New teeth, new glasses, new hips, kidney, knees, lungs and heart? All covered. (And your kids can come in and visit more often than they do now).

And who will pay for all this? The same government that just told you that you they cannot afford for you to go into a home.

Plus, as a prisoner, unlike those still 'free', you won't be bled dry anymore by crippling taxes. Or fleeced again in the next (planned) financial crisis.

IS THIS A GREAT COUNTRY OR WHAT?

The silky-smooth soothing voice of reason and logic. (You WILL feel much better and speak more sense while very securely tied-up...)

Hopefully the Parkinsons hasn't kicked in at least on the shooting side. Do I get to chose the gun? I want a '98 Mauser.

If you want real doom & gloom forecasting for the future, Bob Prechter at Elliotwave international would be a good start.

Looking on the bright side if the pro Dom charges VAT and you are VAT registered and the invoice says "Profesional Services" its tax deductable.....40% off!!!!!!!!!!!

Pro Domme Tourism may be affected, those who see one lady regularly bring non monetary pluses as clients which in my case means a lower rate. I offered one lovely boy a retainer arrangement because of the amount he was spending. We are no different from other business people and perfectly capable of financial forecasting and adaptation.

Presumably you'll be better off once you get to Havana. ;)

As a few people have said, it depends on your priorities. If you give up other luxuries, it may be possible to save for sessions.

Never risk essentials though such as food and accomodation!!

There were a lot of comfortably off middle class people around even in the 'hungry 30s' so I don't think this depression will seriously affect the business of many pro-mistresses. :)

Actually £ 100 to see a pro domme isn't a massive amount of money to someone who is in a decent job. I managed to save over two weeks what was needed for a domme's tribute and I'm only on £ 20,000 a year. I know a tribute is possibly out of reach for someone who is very poor, but these people probably don't have internet access or the money to buy contact mags.

well its going to have some effect on them in some way lets face it.

if people have money they will spend less true enough but that only one side off things.

its going to mean a 2.5% increase in fuel prices aswell so people are less likely to travel long distances to see them, also the cost off running their business will also increase thus squeezing profit margins.

i would say most off them wouldn;t absorb the costs and would be more likely to pass it on to the client meaning the price off sessions would be likely to increase.

also might be worth mentioning how many more new pro dommes have shown up since the start off the recession creating more competition for clients.

Her penultimate sigh's caught softly on the kindleing wind, Her saintly eye's filling with tears lifting with truth Then a golden flash like the onset off heaven leaving her screams breaking my heart. and in the grip off fire i knew the death of love
