It has long been an ideal of mine and a few of my buddies down here. To spin the web of human pet play nation wide by means of small or large groups of people with enough land, be it rented or private. The concept being NON PROFIT making but cost covering for those providing transport, land and food and so on. A cpl of years ago I was fortunate enough to come by some free tickets to France. I advertised a vertualy free week of pony play on here in a beutiful setting and could not believe the total lack of responce. Ultimately three of us went In what could have been a 7 seater car? So in my experience and probably many others, what ever you do will be wrong. I would see the Scottish venture from a Southerners perspective as one of a long weekend away in a rented Mini bus with sulky's and tents on board. (song sheets and brown paper bags provided.) I am one of the kinks in Scotland who is interested in having a go at being a pony boy and willing to understand and learn what the whole human pony kink is all about. The problem is any of the pony play events are so far away to get to. I have no human pony gear. I have no idea what the cost to me to participate and if it is affordable. I wonder whether there is enough women out there who would be interested in a pony boy to play with. There may be others who have their own difficulties in finding the right partner to play with. There was a little bit of nice discussion that took place in both of the Glasgow Munchies this year. Finding the right location that is easy for most of us who are interested in pony play to get to was the major point of the talk. The person who is mentioned on this thread as going around looking for a location is a very nice, approachable person and is a friend to me who is very easy to get along with. He is very interested in pony play. I'm sure he is happy to talk to anyone who is genuinly offering a suitable place for a pony play event north of the border. If the opening poster is offering a suitable and good location for anyone who is interested in pony play in Scotland. It is best to get in touch with the most experienced pony play organisers such as Trainer Bryan. Do some market research and come out to the Scottish play clubs and munchies - have a chat to us about pony play, especially my friend who has travelled to quite a number of events in England and Scotland and who hopes to see a pony play event in Scotland. Once you established the first event up here - do let us know and give us the necessary details as early as possible to enable us to plan our diaries. England has and/or had omething really special, for outdoor ponyplay/slave hunts... not as far as OWK (now closed down, but that's another story). There's a secluded wood with pony tracks, stable/barn in Devon. Former De Ferre, then passed to femdomsociety.co.uk, I will not disclose more details. The place's slowly being taken over by the undergrowth, nettles, and brambles - I've checked personally (this Autumn). | |||

Pony play isn't something I have considered before, however the idea of having an outside advent is: quite appealing to me. The issue with midges! Is a very good point, and certainly worth mentioning. However this problem is normally associated, with the western side of Scotland and mild winters. Until Christmas 2009, Scotland hadn't experienced any sort of freezing winter conditions, for nearly 10 years. Hench problems associated with large midge populations.
I normally have sightseeing summer holidays up 'north', every year. Places like Aviemore/Inverness/Pitlochry etc, and I understand the problems with midges as I hate the f**kers, however this year! It wasn't a problem I have some experience/input with organising events (Car shows). There are three main considerations: 1. Location 2. Accommodation 3. Services (food etc) I don't like randomly suggesting places with accommodation in close proximity to places ,with ideal locations over the internet. If I was considering organising a event! I would do a feasibility study 'first'. I would engage the opinion of people, who have some sort of experience within the scene (both the negative and positive prospective). Secondly! And this would probably be the biggest problem considering it's a fetish event! Securing the right location. That has adequate accommodation within the surrounding area. I.E. no more than 10-15 minutes drive. On a more positive note! The event doesn't need to be restricted, just to pony-play! And that fact alone! should increase participation from other kinksters. Anyhow, it's only my 'off-the-cuff' thoughts. If you're 'really' passionate with this idea? I hope this post gives you some ideas/thoughts about 'off-peak' locations. GL | |||

I've got to speak out for Wigtownshire here, lots of land and nobody lives here. The big selling point for D&G as a whole has to be its the first part of Scotland you hit at the border on the M6, turn left down onto the A75 and there it is. Its easily accesible for Manchester and the North West. I must admit to having an ulterior motive though, its such a bdsm desert we'd appreciate anything to lift the gloom and add a bit of excitement. | |||

There's also the Birch-Bottom Ponygirl Club, if that's still going. I'm not sure that the OPC makes much from the pony events: I get the impression most of their income is from selling stuff, and the adult school. I reckon, if Scotland gets another bad winter? And the location isn't on the west of Scotland; I don't see it being a problem.
