Chester Munch URGENT please read.... (60)

This month's munch will be held at the Town Crier pub which is directly opposite Chester train station. (City Rd CHESTER CH1 3AE) Unfortunately this also means that we are having to cancel the demo too.

Vanilla dress, as it is an open pub, though we are hoping to get ourselves into the window area. There is a large car park attached to the pub on City Road itself and there is entrance through the car park as well as from the station entrance.

The landlord of our usual munch pub, the Chester Hangman, has informed us that he is hiring the room out every Thursday and we would need to either change evening or venue. That was not due to take place until AFTER this month's munch, but he has let us down at very short notice, so this is the best action we can take for now.

As soon as we have a permanent new day/venue for the munch it will be posted here.

DEMO ALERT!!! DEMO ALERT!!!

For this month and this month only, may we present the lovely, the delectable the errr...ok i've run out of adjectives... @UberLord. He has kindly agreed (chinese burn did it!) to give us a mummification (clingfilm to you) and vacuum pump demo. No pressure to take part, though i'm sure he'll be looking out for demo bunnies.

Chester Hangman, 4-6 City Road, Chester CH1 3AE Chester Munch meets on the THIRD Thursday of every month at the Chester Hangman on City Road, Chester, a short walk from the railway station. Dress code is vanilla, with the pub's own rule of no baseball caps or tracksuits. Have black pallet wrap... ...and will get food grade for skin protection..

Vacuum may be more difficult... though I have re-wired the pump for 240V without any nasty shocks!

Looks like it might be a trip into vacuum exploration, rather than vacuum demo, but we will see

I'd better get a shopping list together! Anyone got a source for acrylic domes -- cheap?
