Hi Guys and Gals Sorry, but Judgement Day came early! Unfortunately Aberdeen Licensing Board have refused the Entertainments License for the venue for Club Hells Bells so there will be no further club nights until further notice. These last 2 and a half years have been a blast. Thanks to all those who made all the entertainment on the Club nights. Going to miss it. Kal x |

How awful- so sorry to hear this news. Commiserations to the venue owners in Aberdeen. I know how hard you all worked on creating the dungeon and all the work that went into hosting the event every month. Yes-It was a blast and some fun memories of Hells Bells party nights for us all! |

Thanks to those of you who supported this event over the past couple of years. It was a fun addition to the fetish landscape in Scotland and will be missed.

Rod and Haze still have the daytime club but Grampian Police Chief Constable "opined" that if there was "trouble" at the Club, the police could not respond in time. Given that there has NEVER been any trouble, or that we do NOT (never have) serve alcohol, this is rich, when you look at the state of Union Street on a Saturday night, and that our clientele were always well behaved and never caused anyone any trouble. Given the Chief Constable's opinion, the Lisencing board is not going to oppose him. Personally, I think it is the puritans of Aberdeen trying to "cleanse" their city of undesirables or those on the fringes of society. The licencing boards reason for refusal was: that the club lay outwith the area of response times of the Police. The perimeters of which had just been changed to exclude the Club of Wellmans. Total Shit! Very clever though, rather than confront us head on, the Gestapo have created a loophole with which to snag us. Look out.....maybe you're next!

I'm very disappointed to hear this. I have very much enjoyed coming to Hells Bells over the past year and a half, the last half year or so along with my girlfriend. Hells Bells was my first experience of a fetish/play club and the place where I first appeared in my rubber and got involved in play. Very glad and thankful for the opportunity the club afforded, the work the organiser put in, and the people who came along and enriched the experience in various ways. Hope that this matter will in the end resolve itself in a happier way...! |
