A month or so ago I did a weblog about an amazing friend & client who had reached the age of 100.
2 weeks ago he got his letter from the Queen and last Friday he passed away
Today I went to his funeral at a crematorium and heard more about his achievements from an array of people including some prominent names
A friend of his for many years said he would not attend the funeral as he had survived Auschwitz and refused to see his friend go up in smoke

On his 100th birthday he made a half hour speech with no notes making his normal humorous jokes and having his guests howl with laughter. At his funeral I met some others who were used to his emails containing questionable jokes and photos which would offend those who are upset that IC now allow genitalia to be shown Oh and he became a father at 60 Involved with charitable works and it wasn't the first time he had heard from the Queen ^Thunder^ Edited 9 Sep 10, 7:54 PM by x_Thunder_x |
(At about 95 he discovered the internet and I helped him set up Messenger and a webcam / mic so that at midday he could chat to his brother in Australia (where it was midnight))
