Has anyone used sport sheets? (17)

This post is on the SM/Bondage/Fetish web board.

I was looking for a present for himself (well me really). He is not very good at knots and we have had sessions go off the boil whilst he faffs around with bits of rope. I've just seen this ad for Sport Sheets which seem to involve velcro and cuffs.

http://www.sportsheets.com/sportsheet-bondage-be...

They say they are for 'light bondage' but I think that just refers to the cuffs. I thrash a lot and am well capable of 'taco'ing the mattress as one of the posts on their website says...

Has anyone used the Sport Sheet? Is it strong enough? And is it better or worse than an under bed restraint system?

Sending him on a Royal Yachting Association "Competent Crew" course should provide most of the knotty knowledge and practical experience he requires. But add in a copy of Gray's Anatomy for good measure (NOT the DVD).

A better solution might be to use leather wrist and ankle cuffs and use some chain and chain clips to secure them to the bed. No need for knots and no chance of being able to break them. Another option is to use handcuffs and leg irons (two of each), works well if you have an iron bedstead. The only problem with handcuffs is they should not be used if the person bound is going to lie on them or hang from them as this can cause nerve damage.

I'd again reccomend something along the lines of Practical Knots: The Essential Step-by-step Handbook (£6.99 amazon), as well as some good rope, and a set of "use me as a ropebunny" vouchers.

Sports sheets.. are like any other gadget. you'll be amazed when you use them first time, then notice the flaws, and then notice the flaws actually get worse as you use them (Velcro dies quicker than a furry at a flame thrower convention). better used for keeping one partner in holdable but unnatural positions, where you'll want to reshuffle them in 15 minutes.

I have a set of sports sheets cuffs and they are fucking brilliant. They are completely comfortable, can be worn for hours and hours, because they are made from neoprene and velcro, and yet can be done up pretty tightly and if you position someone right they are very unlikely to get out of them.

I love them, and have had them for about 6 years.

I guess you try too hard, when pianos try to be guitars.

Sportsheets are ok - I'd recommend them.

However the Under the bed restraint system is easily packed into a bag for Hotel beds, holidays etc.

;)

I would think you would pull the sheet off the corners if you thrashed too much. I have the Under Bed restraints - it goes under the entire mattress with rings on the edges you use for bondage. You can leave it under the mattress all the time and just tuck the rings under the mattress too. The body weight on top of it keeps it from shifting during play.

Thanks - I like the idea of being able to change position quickly but I did worry about the velcro....

I would rather have a decent sling - there is nothing like exploding whilst in four point suspension, but I don't think the walls of my flat would cope.

They will as long as you anchor the sling. from the corner of the room measure 600mm stick a thin nail through the plasterboard and you should hit metal or wooden stud (unless you have brick walls (if so easy to fix to)

Find the studs and fix whatever to them :)

bondage bed thing looks cool but as has been mentioned will it not just pop off the mattress is you thrash about? or does it tie underneath?

We are a UK company making leather restraints. You can find out more here and watch a video about them.

We make our stock in-house so can make to measure for the perfect fit.

I haven't tried Sportsheets so can't comment from personal experience. Velcro cuffs can be very strong as long as they are looked after and stored well so the velcro doesn't fur up.

What if.....

you made a sheet out of something fuzzy...and then made a proper harness that was made of velcro running up and down their arms and legs and across their torso. They wouldn't be able to move at all! :-D

Quick! Patent pending! LOL
