hello all, My Master and myself are new to caning, it was always a hard limit of mine, but recently we tried a garden bamboo cane and i loved it, (bruises to prove it lol) we have tried a thin one and a thick one, but the thick one thuds and doesn't seem to have much flexibility in it, so we have decided that a proper cane is needed. my question is what is the best cane, i thought it would be easy to buy one, but didn't realise there were so many different ones, what size is best 1/2" or 3/8" thank you SC

The thicker, senior, usually start at around 10 mm I think. If you phone somewhere like Quality Control you can ask nicely for whatever length and width you want (oh err!) I'd measure the one you've been using and take it from there. Have fun Persia xx Giving pain is a serious business.

Hello,
Have to say “jebus that is a big question”! Best is so individual, depends on technique of the one holding it, the tolerance of the one receiving it and the intended effect. Personally I prefer something flexible and thin, used properly these sting and leave pretty marks that will fade in a day or two. http://www.stockroom.com/Fiberglass-Canes-P2531.... But others prefer something stiffer, fatter etc. I know one madwoman “no offence intended Lisa” who likes to administer 200 strokes of a rattan at a time. So basically would recommend experimentation, try a few starting from crops and working your way up to something heavier until you reach the “that is too much” point and stop there, Dave.

I have bought canes off Fennel phil off ebay before, last one I bought I emailed for advice and he was happy to give it to me. Whoever you decide to purchase from then ask as many questions as you can and want and if they dont reply then they are not worth buying off. jxx Keep smiling - it makes people wonder what you've been up to.

Bamboo canes don't have any flexibility at all. They are also likely to split and rip your skin, as well as leave you with a nasty infection. A thick bamboo cane will have as much flexibility and panache as a length of 2 by 4. As mentioned before, there is no best as tastes differ from person to person. Thinner canes are whippier, thicker canes are thuddier. If you can get two or three canes of differing thickness and experiment. Isn't Coventry Canes near to you - I have heard good things said about them by more than one wielder of canes I used to think I was serving humanity...and I pleasured in the thought. Then I discovered that humanity does not want to be served; on the contrary it resents any attempt to serve it. So now I do what pleases ?

First thing I would say is do not use a garden cane. Bamboo can split and splinter very easily causing more injury than intended. Also they lack the flexibility of rattan or kooboo which is an essential part of applying the cane, all the swishing and bending adds to the drama! As a general rule the thinner whippy canes are more stingy and don't leave marks that last too long. The thicker stiffer cans such as dragon canes are more 'thuddy' and strike deeper into the flesh resulting in more subcutaneous tissue damage and bruising, causing longer lasting bruising and marks. Horses for courses really, it's very much a matter of personal preference and circumstances (with regard to marks and bruising and how long the marks last). Some people prefer thick thuddy strokes as it can get them to sub-space, others prefer the sting of a thinner cane. The is also a lot in the way a cane is wielded and technique used from light fast strokes to heavy spaced out strokes where the pain from the last stroke just starts to subside when the next one lands. I would say experimentation is important and lead you to decide what works best for you.
Good luck and have fun | |

try QuietD on ic here he makes some amazing canes from acetal imagine a light sabre from star wars only not quite as thick . And i find the heavier the cane the nicer i enjoy, the thin whippy ones are a little hard to take from my own personel point of veiw. As with all toys work up to a level you are both comfy with,my Sir started me very lightly taking me only as far as He thought i was able to handle.
And the cane is only as hard as the person holding it, it can give so much pleasure in the right hands Good girls blush during naughty scenes in the movies. Bad girls smile because they know they can do better. |
