Manchester Munch - Tribecca Bar - Saturday 11th (80)

This post is on the Manchester (M) topics page and the Munches web board.

Manchester Munch is moving, and to mark this occasion Septembers Munch will be something of a celebration. We'll have nibbles, and should anyone want to bring any cakes or sweet nibbles with them to add to the sugar rush, then please do.

We'd love old faces and new faces to come along. Tribecca Bar staff are lovely, they have tea and coffee available all day, the downstairs area that we will be taking over is wonderfully atmospheric, cosy and will be candlelit! We will also have our own bar and toilets.

The staff are going to be fine with people bringing in cakes for birthdays and have a very open minded attitude.

The normal rules of the munch will still apply, in that this is a plain clothed event with no OVERT equipment, books or badges. In fact should anyone run into a work colleague in the bar they wouldn't know who we were or what we were there for. Given that this is a new venue, we will all need to adhere to these guidelines (even the organisers!)

On the Munch website www.manchestermunch.com there are photos of the new venue and copies of the food and drink menus. As well as the venue address and map.

Tribecca is just around the corner from Via (between via and the sackville street cheap car park).

Gutted I won't be able to make this one, especially as they serve brunch

(Is all ecstatic at the thought given mid afternoon is a perfectly acceptable time to be eating breakfast based food stuffs)

The world is too much with us, Could we not now just elope? Strange way to hold us closer, Strange way to give us hope, Strange way

Don't make them a priority, when they only make you an option...

We 're here at Tribeca now, for the mid-week munch and yes, it's very pleasant. Mind you, we're in the mezzanine bit called the Purple Lounge, rather than the downstairs bit - which seems to be called 'bed' :)

The great object of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even though in pain.
