I have the same issues with doing horse riding and rugby for years! Alternative footwear were really helpful and as they stock alot of boots for a TV and drag audience but found they fit my dainty size 9s and 'man legs' hopefully helpful!

Pleaser do thigh high boots for bigger legs, but they're synthetic rather than leather.

I got some here, they are very helpful, they cater for and stock all size's - not just for the TV?TG sizes!

I'm sick of not being able to find things that fit Me well, but I have the opposite problem-I'm not a "conventional" size because My disability affected the way I grew so I've ended up a short ass.

I've been looking for long boots in a size 1 that have a zip or buckles all the way from top to bottom so I can get them on-I don't have use of My legs so I can't push My feet down into place. I can find boots in the right size (some times) and I can find a fair few with buckles or zips all the way down, but can't find both in the same boot!.

I think I'll have to learn how to make some!. Happy hunting, anyway.

Hi there, I start with an apology - I've only recently joined but I've lurked for years reading blogs and profiles, so I feel like I know some of you and you don't know me from Adam - so I'm sorry about that and hope the imbalance doesn't last.

I want to get some thigh high boots, but because of walking and cycling, and genes (ta mother), I do not have the slim/pipe-cleaner legs that boots seem to be made to fit. I have enough trouble getting ordinary knee boots that will fit my calves, and I've lost count of the times I've emailed sites to ask for calf and thigh measurement and known they wouldn't fit (the boots, not the sites).

Yes I could do with losing some weight and I will, but my super slim nieces have the same problem - muscly calves and trouble finding boots to fit them without cutting off circulation or gouging out bits of flesh in the attempt to do them up.

Does anyone know of a site that does reasonably-priced, sensibly-proportioned boots for those of us without model legs?

I was lucky I got some fantastic thigh high boots from Ebay. I have the same problem with defined calve muscles and the ones I got were adjustable with zips AND laces. So i would advise trying Ebay as there are some lovely ones and reasonably priced. The advice of getting one size bigger than your usual shoe size is spot on.
