Well today't Times revierwing a remake of a 1970s TV thing Bouquet of Barbed Wire says... "Absent, however is young Prue' desier to be physically assaultd by her husband. Quite agree. I occasionally read that column, and she often seems refreshingly liberal minded.

'Why can't it remain a fantasy? Why do you have to "live" your fantasies? The importance of fantasy is just that - that it remains a fantasy. So, say you start a little bit of hanky spanky, what will you do next?and after that? Can't you accept the fact that it's "your own guilt and shame"? You're in your mid-50s - should've learnt to live with yourself by now! After all, wanting to be violent ( even if it is only spaking and not beating)to the one you love seems a bit, well, suspect.
