Considering the type of scene being set, we should turn it upside down and call the British forces today criminal and brutal conquerors. Why play like that at all? Why have this site, have clubs, equipment, have M/s or D/s relationships? Why don't we all have nice vanilla relationships where we just hug and kiss and cuddle and that's it?

Where do you draw the line? Some people may choose to take offence to things like CP or bondage in the same way others take offence to things involving WW2 or race or religion or sexuality...either it's all wrong or it's all right.

No, mistress translates as "Herrin". You wouldn't use Fuehrerin. It's simply not the correct translation (apart from the other implications of that word).
