Just to say that preparations are coming together for this event, a camp with a medieval theme, with pony-play, puppy-play, some form of hunt, a pillory and whipping post on the village green opposite the ale-house ... For Dom(me)s there will be other households, male-led and female-led, with whom to socialise and if you want a servant, maid or slave you can choose one from the Workhouse ... Or if you're a singleton submissive you can go into the Workhouse, under the supervision of the Workhouse Mistress to do community chores. With maybe a chance to be picked out to serve a Dom or Domme, if you want to accept it .... It's cheap too, less per night than a typical vanilla camp-site. We did it, it worked, despite some rough weather. Mistress Elinor's Workhouse, with her girls and boy worked superbly well, despite the conditions, even when soaked to the skin: the atmosphere and team spirit they had between them kept everything, and everybody else, going! That was the really outstanding feature of the weekend for me and very much something we hope to replicate in future events. The delicious 5 course meal that Mistress Elinor cooked and prepared with her girls' and boy's help, which they served on Saturday night in quite trying circumstances, was a really excellent meal too. All the other meals they did for us all, breakfast, lunches and dinners were delicious too. We lost one of the Workhouse girls to a marauding armed Celt on Saturday night, but she turned up none the wore for wear the next day, so all's well that ends well. Other successes were that the new top-end access and car park and camp-ground was a real success: given the conditions it is difficult to imagine how we could have used the old entrance and car park. Future events I run up there will have the Tawsingham theme. I won't do another 'big' event like this, until a similar time next year and all I'll do there will be Tawsingham-style events. Some of us will come together to help complete and/or create the rest of the fixed facilities to make it easier and better to hold an event, whether our's or others', even when the weather is against us. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen! To those who didn't make it, you missed a lot of fun! I hope others can, and will, run events up there, on other themes: bondage, whipping, hunts, pony, puppy or American style general 'leather' theme events. All could be done there, we've proved it!
