Everyone has something they find difficult. How often do you push your sub to do something they find incredibly difficult? Im not talking necessarily play or pain here but everyday things like dieting or giving up smoking or in my case writing a blog or a journal entry or witing down thoughts. What do you get from it, the control, the knowing they can do it but need the confidence to succeed, giving them praise afterwards or simply for the enjoyment of seeing them struggle because it has been an instruction they need to fulfil? For me, often I would like it completing "now" but accept that the personal struggle means I am setting her up to fail which is not the idea, instead a date is set in the very near future, the knowing she can succeed but will find it difficult and the enjoyment I get from reading. Knowing that every word, every sentence and every single paragraph has taken time, thought and concentration. The smile on her face when she succeeds and gets praised is for me the whole reason I set these things. One persons torture is completely different to anothers.
