I said he was a coward because he dragged two unsuspecting women into his plan. There was nothing courageous about what he did. You cannulate when you put a cannula needle into a vein, then remove the needle leaving just the tube and the screw attachment. I'm guessing he used the cannula to inject the drugs into his blood stream. . Why exactly should he feel compassion for a twat who is married with a couple of kids who decieved a couple of people to unwittingly assist his fucked up death, prick is a comparitively tame description! FS

I did, fleetingly, wonder, if getting the escorts involved was a ploy to increase the chance of getting life/mortgage insurance policy payouts. There might possibly be more likelihood with a Coroner's Verdict of Death by Misadventure, than one of Suicide.

The report mentioned that the girls found him crying, hence he was most likely in a disturbed and emotional state. It almost beggers belief that they would have taken his money, hurled a few insults and then walk away leaving him there in a precarious position - physically and mentally - with a noose around his neck. To me that smacks of negligence and a lack of duty of care shown by the women given the fact that he was a client.

what a load of excusing bollox some people come up with for people who can't take responsibility of their own life. It IS the cowards way out - a brave person would face up to their responsibilities and DEAL with them. It's a kind of natural selection - those that can't deal with real life die, those that can, in the face of adversity (and losing your job really isn't that adverse) fucking buckle down and sort it out. He was a total spineless fuckwit. Not to mention the fact that he used prostitutes previously and cheated on his family, the world is a better place without him. FS

The article reads as hokey as hell to me. For a start I can't see any sex workers that style themselves 'escorts' tooling out to play SM in the woods for only £60 each; I know we've had a recession, but that's just silly, even before the agency takes its cut. Before we all pitch in with opinion and speculation on the whys and wherefores, and on how we rate the strength of character of a suicide etcetera, it might be prudent to recall that The Sun is a violently prejudiced newspaper and the key British arm of a provenly pernicious and vindictive media empire. So far the only account of this most tragic business is that told by a newspaper whose word cannot in any way be trusted, and one with a history of being anti SM; it is not unreasonable to assume that The Sun may be larding its account with some *lies*.

It's in the Mail, too: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1303018/... Is the Mail anti-SM, too? Genuinely not a loaded question, I'm interested as I don't read it that much. Reason I ask is that it's sister publication, The Metro, is continually praised on these very boards for its pro-bdsm stories.

Before you start defaming people who have recently died yet are most likely still loved by their family perhaps it is wise to think a little deeper. The story was reported by primarily [and arguably] the most revolting publication to call itself a newspaper that has a habit of writing stories to play devils advocate. None of us know the true facts of this case and most likely the full truth behind it may never fully emerge. I have worked with people who have been suicidal and those who truly have this desire are unstoppable. The desire is so strong all else in the mind is muffled. Perhaps when more is known of the case from a more reliable source than something more suited to wrap ones fish 'n chips in it may be more appropriate to comment. Unless high flying bankers have suddenly started living in distinctly unimpressive semis in the suburbs, there's something very fishy about this story. ETA - I see someone has already commented on the rather small house. Ah semen. What is it about that ridiculous white secretion that pulls down the corners of an Englishman's mouth?
