I don't get it - what's there to tolerate or accept? Gay bi pan trans cis whatever - who a person fancies, or fucks or doesn't, has absolutely no bearing on their ability to be either a decent, or nasty human being. It's a moot point.
And how the hell does a person determine what's 'natural'?

Same with me: what's the point??? In the very minute when a person dare to decide what's "natural" and what's not, the social marginalisation grows. We had this some 80 years ago all over Europe. www.twitter.com/@woeuk

I think homosexuality is unnatural, but that does not stop me from having homosexual friends and inviting them to my home.
It's called tolerance and trying to understand someone elses point of view.

To use that analogy, you would need to write books about homosexual fantasy, saying it's natural in a place that doesn't exist, but then say in real life it's unnatural.
As for tolerance, my irony-meter just exploded

You were not censored.
Your comment was irrelevant to the matter under discussion and therefore deleted as the post warned.
I dont like it when threads get highjacked or diverted from the topic and on something that I start I have the means, just like a chairman in a debate, to keep the discussion on topic. If your opinion of me is based on what others have told you, then your mind is but a shadow and the opinion has no value.

My post directly replied to a point in your post. You used an analogy, I pointed out that the analogy was flawed.
I made a post which was within the AUP, you hid it. That's entirely your right but it's still censorship. "Bottom line: it's couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time."

No, it was not relevant to the point under discussion. Your argument may be worth discussion on another thread though. If your opinion of me is based on what others have told you, then your mind is but a shadow and the opinion has no value.

Its relevant to a site whos members are obsessed by sexuality and sexual identity. Maybe it wasn't relevant to the precise point but you should have had forsight to use a less explosive analogy.
By any biological definition Homosexuality is natural, ie naturally occuring. If you want to put it in some moral or darwinian context, right/wrong or "Mutation" then thats a different issue.
Although I have read most of John Normans books I have come to the conclusion that the "Gorian lifstyle" is little more than a honey trap to ensnare the ignorant by abusers.
Hence their disdain for BDSM because of its built in culture of checks and balances, ie concent and greater distinction between reality and fantacy. |

Pretty much what I was thinking Cookie...
Along with this, my view/experience of it seems to be that it is full of pretentious wankers who live their life from a fictional book!
Hell I stopped all that crap when I was 7 and realised I couldn't be Mildred Hubble!!! Mew

surely here, above all places, we should be accepting of however any other person chosses to live their life?
most of us are here because we know vanillaland would be totally unaccepting of us, so why on earth should anyone here even think about challenging, qualifying, validating or questioning any other person's life choices?
BTW - i have deliberately chosen to use the idea of 'acceptance' rather than 'tolerance'.
