It has been brought to My attention that some of the text on My website has been stolen from another Mistress site. Mistress Keene. I am Deeply embarrassed to discover this, and am at this moment sorting out for it to be removed from My site. How could this have happened I can hear you asking, I shall tell you even if you are not asking. When I had decided that it was time for Me to have a website, a sub that I used quite often offered to prepare something for Me, of course I said ok, when I read what he had put I was overjoyed, it was as though he had plucked the words from My mind, I was very happy with how it read and said I would use it. So up it went, now to My horror I have just been informed that the words belong to another, I am posting this on here to ask if any other Mistress on this site could take a look at My site and tell Me if anything has been stolen from your site as well, I don't know if everything is stolen or just some of it. I think it would be an impossible task to visit every Mistress site to check. I am now in the process of writing My own, which I now realise I should have done in the first place, how foolish of Me to have trusted another when he said it was his thoughts on how I was....... I have emailed and said how sorry I am for what has happened, but feel I need to make a public announcement My sincerest apologies to you Mistress Keene A most embarrassed Mistress Shy

I think it is better to have a site with fewer words to start with and keep changing it over a period of time until you are happy with it. No website is 'set in stone' and it only takes a few minutes to change text on pages so maybe you should look over your sub's shoulder when he is doing your website 'Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather' - Velvet Underground

It's happened to me too! All of a sudden I was reading MY switch advert which I had written copied word for word for a 'Sharon from Derby', the only thing changed was her height! She'd even copied a comma in the wrong place. I sent her a rather curt email asking her to write her bloody own, and she sent me a very apologetic letter saying that her sub had done all her advertising. She removed it but 2 weeks later it was up again, and again she blamed it on the sub. Grrrrr. Subbie must have liked my advert the best though so I should be flattered! Pro submissive & switch with great dungeon & LOTS of toys!

Subs are notorious for stealing site content and passing it off as their own work. That's why I would never trust one. It is always better to write your own site. How can a sub possibly know you enough to write about you? The words on a site aren't something to fill in the space between your pics. They convey you, the essence of you and your domination to your potential clients. Most PD sites consist boring regurgitated wank fodder, the crap that people think subs want to read. Write something meaningful and original and you'll get a better quality of client. Write it yourself and you know it hasn't been pinched. But beware because like Mistress Keene, your excellent copy will be pinched by another sub. I can't say I felt flattered when a new mistress on the block stole some of my wording. What really put my back up was that after emailing her a few times with no responce, that when I phoned her she denied all knowledge and was very defensive, then hung up on me. It took another email, of me pasting both my and her site wording before she changed it slightly. Copying anothers wording and not writing it yourself is at best lazy and as Lady Anna says, how can it convey the type of Mistress you are and attract the sort of clients that you want? At least you have had the good grace to make a public apology as well as I assume a private one....which is more that I got from the said mistress who is also a member of this site.

You could take some sentences and paste them into Google. Google will tell you where else that exact wording has come from, if it has.

Thank you for that advise, I will get onto it straight away. I won't fall into this silly mistake again. |
