LFF - worth a visit?? (66)

Like a tight ass, the mind needs a good stretching too.

If you have not been before then the format is turn up (pay a small entry fee -can't remember how much it is, a fiver perhaps?) wander downstairs and start mooching around the stalls. A common tactic seems to do a quick once around, followed by a slower second lap with beer or wine in hand. Neither market is that big but its a nice place to see things, ask questions and meet people. On the latter, if you are relatively new to the scene then it can be worth shouting out to find out who else is going so that you have friendly faces to meet up with and quiz (perhaps SecretSmile is going again?).

Lastly there is often a small demonstration and then an after-party (nothing too raucous). LFF is set in some vaulted under-ground rooms so has a good atmosphere whilst LAM used to be a bit larger and their demonstrations used to be a better (subjectively speaking) and their after party play area was larger too - that said they have moved venue and I don't what the new place is like).

We haven't stayed for the afterparty ourselves as we have to pack up our stall then face a long drive home but it is a great place to see other people play, and if you want to try scening, visiting parties is the best way to meet people for casual play.
