The weekend was marvellous, the weather was blissful, the scenery beautiful, great company, and a lovely meal last night. We even survived camping! The walking was glorious with lovely scenery and caves to explore. The traffic on the return journey was awful due to an accident on the M1, it took over 5 hours to get home but as the lovely Sandie pointed out, at least we got home in one piece unlike the people in the accident.

It was a wonderful weekend, and we got so lucky with the weather. Dovedale Gorge was outstandingly beautiful, and up on Bunster Hill - magnificent views.
We entertained ourselves the 5-hour traffic jam on the way home by singing irreverent and rude Frank Zappa songs at the tops of our voices until we were hoarse. It really helped

Can't think of many better ways to survive a 5-hour traffic jam.
