so yesterday i gotted....

Well the daystarted so bad today I was in tears, I called the insurance company who were saying the same as 5 days ago "we are waiting for a fit to fly and more information from the hospital" I spoke to the Dr who said he had sent it, felt like I was getting no further forward and Gaz was really going stir crazy and refusing to eat and drink. he spent most of the day with the sheet over his head ignoring the world. I went out for about an hour to a local shopping centre and just sat and had a cup of tea, I was so depressed and feeling like this nightmare was never going to end. Later on in the afternoon I called the insurance again and they still had not received anything, but the person dealing with the case put me thru to a nurse for me to answer some of their questions, some I could and some I had no idea. It was at that point one of the other doctors treating him came in to speak to me and I asked if he would speak to the nurse. He not only answered all the questions but agreed to send what is missing and sign a release document. After he spoke to them, the person dealing with the case called me back full of excitements saying "you can't believe how much further forward we are!" She then said she has provisionally booked a place for him on a stretcher to fly back as early as Tuesday. As long as the dr sends what he said he would send all will be ok. So after such a bad start, today has turned out good so going to get food and a beer and hopefully get a good nights sleep xxx |
and today i get....
I know it can't be any fun for him stuck in that bed all day but everything I suggest he says no. problem is he can't use a mobile phone or the internet in there and he is going stir crazy. Still on, so far, for a return on Tuesday, just waiting for them to find a doctor and nurse who are free to escort him. as long as they can do that we are going. If not we may be delayed a day or 2 until they can find an escort. He is eating a bit more but not enough yet, or drinking enough, he is still on a drip.
